These Terms of Service govern use of MendThread (the “Service”), a maintenance-request intake and triage tool for landlords and their tenants. By texting or emailing a property's maintenance-request line, or by using the landlord/co-host dashboard, you agree to these terms.
What the Service does
The Service lets tenants report maintenance issues by text or email. An AI system asks clarifying questions and classifies the urgency and category of a request, and logs it for the landlord or their co-host to review and act on.
No guarantee of AI accuracy
Urgency and category classifications are generated automatically and may be incorrect. The Service does not dispatch emergency services or contractors on your behalf. If you have a genuine emergency (e.g., gas leak, fire, active flooding, or any immediate safety risk), contact emergency services directly and do not rely solely on this Service.
Acceptable use
You agree to provide accurate information about maintenance issues and not to use the Service to send unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent content.
Message and data rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to texts sent and received through the Service.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to the accuracy of AI-generated classifications or responses.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this Service is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including delays in maintenance response or misclassification of a request's urgency.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
